Yoga with Katie

Inclusive yoga for every body

Breathe in and let it go. Welcome to an inclusive community where you are encouraged to rest and connect with your Self through yoga. We celebrate diversity and inclusion by providing a safe place for individuals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum (and allies!) to explore their yoga practice freely and authentically. Whether you have an established practice or you’re new to a yoga mat, there is space for you to connect with your mind, body, and spirit in a supportive and affirming environment.

I’m so glad you’re here.

As a nonbinary queer yoga instructor, I’m dedicated to creating a welcoming and safe space for those who often feel ostracized. It’s such an honor to specialize in teaching prenatal yoga to the Trans and Queer community, I invite you to join me on a journey of empowerment and connection, regardless of how you identify. Let’s flow together with love, respect, and acceptance.

FAQs

  • You can sign up for classes under the ‘offerings.’ Instructions will be sent to you after you register for class and fill out the required forms.

  • Yes! We would love to see you for a virtual class or in person.

  • There are tools all around us! If you are practicing from home, a pillow or blanket can replace a bolster. A big water bottle or hard backed book can replace a block. Katie will offer variations to poses as needed and students are encouraged to connect to their intuition to find what feels best.

  • This is a personal choice between you and your health care providers. Although Katie can offer pose modifications for common discomforts, you are responsible for keeping yourself safe and skipping poses that cause more pain or do not feel right for your body. Classes can be done from a chair, couch, yoga mat, or the floor.
